Eco friendly hotel:

All of us can help to reduce the impact to our environment.  We apply the following eco-features:

Solar heater:

Over 50% of our hot water consumption is produced by solar power. Technology applied in the years 1996 and 2000.

Water safer:

In 2006 we installed water savers to all rooms, baths, kitchen and public area, in order to reduce water consumption in these points down to 50%.

Water filter:

Our filter system for laundry water was installed in 2006 and provides water to our garden all the year around.

Laundry products:

No bleach or softener used only biodegradable products.

Waste

Hotel Oberland applies a plan for all kind of garbage:

1.       No excess of any products

2.       Use food to max for any being

3.       Apply any recycling program available

We have an 8 step rubbish program.

Swimming pool:

Since 2002 our swimming pool consumes no chlorine anymore.  We installed a clorinator system which allows using natural salt instead.

The pool is heated by solar power.

Buy and sell policy of Food and Beverage:

We work only with fresh and local ingredients. We buy only the minimum of canned products or products containing additives or artificial colors. 

We promote Bolivian and Andean Food and Beverages.
